I was wondering have three years really passed lore wise because I thought the events of World of Warcraft Cataclysm happened like a year after WOTLK in the game world of Azeroth. The Shattering will transform the face of Azeroth as a prelude to the return of Deathwing, a mighty dragon. Am I happy with the time spent reading the novels? According to Amazon, a new World of Warcraft novel from Christie Golden, called The Shattering: Prelude to Cataclysm is due to come out on August 31st, but so far there's no cover nor description available. Her The Shattering: Prelude to Cataclysm is well above all the other books, being both well-written and interesting. On the plus side, the good folks at Simon and Schuster have sent me a copy of “World of Warcraft: The Shattering: Prelude to Cataclysm” to review.
